About This Level

Perfect for complete beginners with no prior Zouk experience. Each lesson consists of a fun warm-up, a new topic, and a review of the previous lesson — with plenty of practice time built in.

Beyond the steps, you'll develop essential soft skills: understanding rhythm, frame and connection in dance. You'll also learn the art of social dancing and the guidelines for creating a respectful, supportive community.

What You'll Learn

The building blocks of Brazilian Zouk — the fundamental rhythm, footwork patterns, and the core embrace. You'll discover how leaders and followers communicate through weight, pressure and timing.

By the end of the 6-week course you'll have a solid foundation to continue into Level 1 and onto the social dance floor with confidence.

About This Level

Ongoing classes that rotate topics every two weeks — you can join every second week as listed in the calendar. The full cycle of topics repeats every 30 weeks, so you'll always be building on familiar ground.

Every two weeks we introduce a different movement theme and layer in variations — the most essential figures from which countless new movements grow.

What You'll Learn

Core figures and movement themes that form the vocabulary of Zouk. We explore how to initiate, respond, and improvise — always within a clear structure that keeps both partners comfortable.

You'll also explore movement concepts focusing on quality, elasticity, and connection with your partner and the music. Each topic builds on the last, creating a rich and expanding repertoire.

About This Level

Building on Level 1, you'll learn more complex patterns and techniques. The focus shifts to developing variations and combining movements fluidly — deepening your understanding and moving with greater creativity and confidence.

Topics change every two weeks, mirroring the Level 1 structure. Specific figures will vary from cycle to cycle, but the focus on core movement concepts remains consistent.

What You'll Learn

Multi-step sequences, body dissociation, and the nuanced communication of advanced partner work. You'll learn how to create variations spontaneously — how to play with timing, direction, and texture.

The emphasis is on dancing with intention: understanding why a movement works, not just how to execute it.

Note: Specific figures will vary from cycle to cycle, but the focus on core movement concepts remains consistent.

About This Level

All the essential head movements of Zouk — circular & tilted head movements and rotisserie turns — grounded in neuro and sport-scientific principles.

Using neuro training methods, you'll discover how to feel safe in head movements, understand the technique behind them, and become a resilient dancer step by step. Extended 75-minute sessions allow for deeper technique work.

Block Structure

  • Weeks 1–2Solo work & introduction to the specific head movement
  • Weeks 3–4More concentrated on partner work
  • Weeks 5–6Variations and refinement

What You'll Learn

The head movements that define Zouk's visual signature — from gentle tilts and rolls to the full rotisserie. Each is taught with safety and body awareness at its core.

We draw on neuroscience and sports methodology to help you build proprioception (the body's sense of its own position), progressive loading, and the confidence to truly let go.

This isn't just technique — it's a new relationship with movement, gravity, and trust between partners.

Recommendation: If you're new to head movements, we recommend booking a full 6-week block. If you already bring experience, joining every two weeks works well.
